     ‌  ‌ Clatsop County Short Term Rentals Update Short-term Rental Limits / Caps — Public Comments Meeting Two public meetings are scheduled to obtain public input on proposed limitations on the number of short-term rental units in unincorporated Clatsop County and on proposed revisions to the short-term rental operating standards. The meetings will both be held virtually. The first meeting is 10 a.m. Saturday, August 6. The second meeting will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17.  You do not need to register to participate.     As all of you should be aware our annual meeting is this Saturday 6 August, 2022 at 9am at the Astoria Golf and Country Club AGCC. Cecilia Mushinskie who heads up Community Relations Committee CRC is looking for some help checking people into the meeting at the AGCC.     FAQ on Barking dogs and other Animal Complaints on private property.

    Question: Who do I report barking dogs, loud chickens, and other Public Nuisances on private property. Answer: All Public Nuisances, regarding animal issues located on private property, must be reported to Keaton Walde, the Animal Control Officer for the Clatsop County Animal Control Services. His contact information is 503-298-9881 (Mobile) and 503-861-7387 (Office). His e-mail is kwalde@co.clatsop.or.us. He indicated that the correct process is to contact his department with your complaint directly. He cannot enforce complaints from a third party, such as our security person.   In Clatsop County there is no special form to complete so Deputy Walde typically will personally observe the offending property to ascertain if the issue is severe enough…
