We strive to promote positive community relations. You can show your support for our community by volunteering for this committee. The committee works to have social events through out the year with including the Picnic in the Park in July and the Octoberfest in October.

    Our dear Limbird’s have flown the coop.

    In case you have not heard Art and Kay Limbird have sold their home to Chuck and Margy Schroeder. The Limbird’s have moved back up to Calgary Canada to be closer to family and the Schroeder’s are down sizing from the two home compound they have on Stellar Lane, which they will be listing for sale after their move into Limbird’s old residence around the 13th. Art and Kay are the silent be always available volunteers for SPA.     SOLVE Beach Clean Up.

    Saturday, September 19th 10a.m.-1p.m. It’s been a tough summer for our beloved beach. Let’s show it some community love. SOLVE bags will be at the beach paths along Ocean Drive. Please sign in so we can count heads. Please leave filled bags ON THE BEACH, mid-tide, during the event. Please DO NOT leave on the beach path. Thank you for your continued support.     How our Social Media is working at SPA.

    Thought you might like some good news for a change. Our social media program is reaping great results. If we can get some help updating content on the web we will be that much better. Yesterday we had 311 click throughs to our blog about the four articles that we published in FaceBook, NextDoor and our other social media . That is an all time record for one day.     SURF PINES 2020 OCTOBERFEST CANCELLED

    It is with regret, that the Surf pines Octoberfest scheduled for Oct 9th has been cancelled.With the continued pandemic threat, the directive from the Governor to maintain social distance, keep gatherings to a minimum, and Camp Kiwanilong currently only allowing limited outdoor events, the Community Relations Committee has decided to cancel this years event.We look forward to 2021 when we can, hopefully, resume our community activities safely.

    No Official Surf Pines Garage Sale this year but some want to do one this Saturday.

    Do to the Covid-19 your Community Relation Committee have canceled this years annual garage sale as a CRC Surf Pines sponsored event. However Kathy Schroeder 89018 Manion DR plans on doing her own event and is advertising for a Garage sale this Saturday July 25 from 8 till 2. She thought that since the gates will be open anyway that others might want to join in to help bring in more people. If you are interested please call Kathy at 503-312-3457 to see if you can do a joint sale on your own.
