Our dear Limbird’s have flown the coop.

In case you have not heard Art and Kay Limbird have sold their home to Chuck and Margy Schroeder. The Limbird’s have moved back up to Calgary Canada to be closer to family and the Schroeder’s are down sizing from the two home compound they have on Stellar Lane, which they will be listing for sale after their move into Limbird’s old residence around the 13th.

Art and Kay are the silent be always available volunteers for SPA. Kay also is our resident new writer who posted such notables as the LGBT Pheasant and the Zombie attack of the beach clammers that we have featured on our blog and other SPA social sites. They were the cement that kept the Shady Pine Irregulars end of driveway Friday evening Covid 19 get togethers. They also headed up cleaning up the joint lot owned by the SP Irregulars 11. Now over 90% of the old scotch broom from that lot is cleared.

And now a quick note from them after they made it to Calgary:

Hi Dear Friends!

Just a note and a few photos to send along news of our arrival….and that we have a phone which for the foreseeable future will be our new number.   To call us use:  (587) 896-2248. The agent at the border crossing into Canada was very nice…and complimented us on our preparedness.  Paperwork took about half an hour and we were welcomed  in!

Once in Calgary, we were greeted with a happy sign of welcome at Sharon’s place, (a relative) and our son, Dennis, Megan and grandchildren all were there to help us move in (we wore masks) to our comfortable quarters in Sharon’s home’s lower level.  It was still light, about 6:30 p.m., when we arrived and we visited on the outdoor patio until nearly ten o’clock!

Here are a few relevant photos…. (We are so comfortable here there is danger for Sharon that we may want to never leave!)  We must remain here for the next two weeks (isolation) and then we will be working to complete the purchase of our condo in Cochrane.   (We also added a few pictures of Limbird’s before they left. Editor)

Stay well, friends, and remember to include Alberta and visiting the Limbirds in your future travel plans once travel is once again comfortable and possible!      Kay and Art
