Surf Pines Gate Use Policy Change
May 29, 2020 Fellow Surf Pines Members, Surf Pines’ BOD has approved the following changes to the Owner’s Guide for Gate Codes and Transmitters section, which will be update in June 2020. Surf Pines New Book Lending Box at Gate House.
Surf Pines now has its own Lending Book Box located at the porch of our Gate House. Ravi a super handyman built the Book Lending Box at Sunset Beach at the parking area across from the bakery. He also has been a maintenance person for a couple of our elderly sunset beach residents. He also built a bench for Surf Pines residents Art and Kay Limbird and mentioned he would be willing to build one for Surf Pines at no charge. Art and Kay brought this to the Board who approved the acquisition of our own box. It was placed on the wall next to the Gate House door. It is a…

Follow up on our Dogs and Cats in Surf Pines and other critters.
There was some confusion the other day when we posted a picture of a cute ginger colored cat sliding around houses on the North Ocean part of Surf Pines. So last night they had two visitors: At 1:00am the tabby cat https://ring.com/share/6829532200116145235 at 4:00am the bobcat. https://ring.com/share/6829631800407739475 With the number of sitings of Coyotes and Bob Cats, our neighbor wants all to be careful about letting your pets out to roam at night. That is why they included another video of the orange cat and a couple of hours later a bob cat taken from the same camera. Be safe out there and consider keeping your pets indoors at night.

Keep your cats and small dogs safe.
One of our residents on Ocean sent this to us as a reminder that we have seen Coyotes and Bob Cats around Surf Pines. In this video from their Ring camera shows a nice big golden tabby walking by their home. This was around 10:15 last night and they wanted us to warn people in the hood to keep your pets indoors at night especially when these predators do most of their hunting.
