Stories from the SPA

We have sad news. We lost Rosco Iverson, one of our little furry friends.

Four days ago Doug and Vicky Iverson mentioned that their tiny little buddy Rosco was attacked by a large German Shepard. Vicki was walking Lil’ Rosco on leash, on the the pavement (center of the road) when a large German Shepard who was loose ran from a neighbors yard and attacked Rosco. He sustained a bite on his back and Vicki injured her hand pulling the Shepard off.

They took him to the Vet with a deep gash on his back. Rosco went home from getting stitches and a drain tube (bite was pretty deep). He was a bit doped up, but happy to be home. Although he was lethargic and was not very hungry everyone thought he would recover.

He seemed to be on the road to recovery, then this afternoon as they were taking him to the Vet to remove the drain, he suddenly passed away. They plan on getting an autopsy but as all can imagine this came as a shock to the Iverson Family.

We want to share our condolences to Vicky and Doug for the untimely loss of an important member of their family.

Please be careful out there with your dogs. We have many here in Surf Pines and they really need to be under control by leash, fence or effective voice control.
