Let’s Communicate in Surf Pines

By Tom Smith Resident Surf Pines Archivist.

As many of you may be aware, we have been diligently working in the background to update our website and social media content. Many of you maybe a little frustrated trying to access the members only section of our new website. This is because we were not able to salvage your login credentials from the old site. Not a screwup just we never had access to your secure passwords. Debbie is trying to open access to all your inquiries, but this is tax season and is being stretched just a bit.

We just began our training on the new site and I believe you will see lots of new stuff over the next couple of months. Please be patient as we learn how to make this a world class website for our members. Also, you may have noted that our new blog is up and running. Both the web and the blog are interconnected so you can bounce back-and-forth. We are also training our committee leads to upload Surf Pines information on the blog at the same time. If any of our members are interested in contributing appropriate stories and content applicable to our North Coast lifestyle, please submit those to Debbie Eddie or myself and we will make sure they get published.

In addition, if some of you budding authors would like to become an author for the blog please contact me and I will show you how to contribute directly. However, any contributions will be reviewed for positive content and information before publication. We love fun stuff and good information for the members and are interested in items that contribute to our fun-loving lifestyle. Do not want to make this a forum of discontent.

Lastly, with the professional assistance of our own Scott Roose, we are designing a new database that will consolidate eight current data bases into one. In addition, we are data matching all of our members lots to the county parcel website. This has been a challenging process, but it helps to have one of the best salesforce consultants as a member of our association. Many thanks to Scott. T
