Mailing for Vote on Document Normalization going out May 8, 2020
Dear Fellow Surf Pines Homeowners, On March 20, 2020, Surf Pines Association’s (SPA) Board of Directors approved referral of Covenants, Conditions and Restriction (CCR’s) and Bylaws consistent with the Oregon Planned Community Act to members for consideration. Previously, SPA lacked CCR’s which are required by Oregon law. The Inspectors of Elections (tievote.com) is confidentially managing this process. This week they will begin mailing ballots and information to members. Voting can be done either on-line or via US mail. For this to pass, seventy-five percent of eligible homeowners must vote in favor it. It has taken a long time and a tremendous amount of work to get to this point. VEHICLE BEACH ACCESS TEMPORARILY CLOSED APRIL 11-12 WEEKEND
Clatsop County will temporarily close vehicle access to north-county beaches over the April 11-12 weekend. Gates at the county-owned beach entrances at Sunset Beach and Del Rey Beach will be closed Friday evening, April 10 and reopened Monday morning, April 13.

The order, approved by the Board of Commissioners at a special meeting March 22, ordered the closure of hotels, short-term rentals and homestay lodges, and campgrounds for a 14-day period beginning March 23. Clarification on which Gate codes will be canceled.
There has been some confusion about John Yerke's e-mail yesterday. The regular Visitor Gate Codes for March and April are still in effect. They remain active from 7 am till 7 pm every day. They will not be shut down.

March 23, 2020 Fellow Surf Pines Association Homeowners, The following statement was released by Clatsop County that is effective today. Surf Pines Association falls under the jurisdiction of Clatsop County and we need to comply. For those in our community who may be at higher risk to the COVID-19 coronavirus, I understand there are posts on our Facebook page of individuals offering to pick up groceries and necessities at stores offering drive thru. Please utilize those offeres. Additionally, Clatsop County Public Health Department announced today, March 23, that it has been informed of the first presumptive case of COVID-19 coronavirus in the county. Just like our current site, there will be a secured area only for Surf Pines Association members. Since this is a new site, all members must register for new login credentials. The process is simple.
