    Gate fixed and Perpetrator Identified.

    As many of you are aware, on June 10, the north entry gate was repaired.  The person causing the damage has been identified and we are still working through Clatsop County Sheriff’s office. I appreciate the emails about the gates.  The repair was relatively easy.  No doubt if this exact situation happens again, we could repair it ourselves within a few hours.  We were reluctant for fear of voiding the warranty.  These gates are a break-away design.  Meaning if struck they will come off with reinstallation being straight forward.  The issue with this breakage was the impact from a higher speed head on occurrence.  While the gate could have been reattached the wiring to the lights was severed.  We could have…

    Surf Pines Gate Use Policy Change

    May 29, 2020 Fellow Surf Pines Members, Surf Pines’ BOD has approved the following changes to the Owner’s Guide for Gate Codes and Transmitters section, which will be update in June 2020. All members continue to have a personal 24-hour gate code.  At a member’s request, a second 24-hour code can be issued for use with guests, renters, contractors without codes, etc. A code can be replaced monthly if there is concern that it has been compromised. Monthly visitor codes are being evaluated and may cease after September 30, 2020.  These codes operate the gates from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and are accessible in the digital Breeze and on the Member’s section of our…

    Mailing for Vote on Document Normalization going out May 8, 2020

    Dear Fellow Surf Pines Homeowners,  On March 20, 2020, Surf Pines Association’s (SPA) Board of Directors approved referral of Covenants, Conditions and Restriction (CCR’s) and Bylaws consistent with the Oregon Planned Community Act to members for consideration.  Previously, SPA lacked CCR’s which are required by Oregon law.  The Inspectors of Elections (tievote.com) is confidentially managing this process.  This week they will begin mailing ballots and information to members.  Voting can be done either on-line or via US mail.  For this to pass, seventy-five percent of eligible homeowners must vote in favor it.  It has taken a long time and a tremendous amount of work to get to this point.  It is important to understand that the proposed…
