Regularly Scheduled Board Meeting of the Surf Pines Association May 15, 2020 4PM at Gate House
Our regularly scheduled meeting will be run remotely at 4 PM on May 15, 2020. A few Board members and committee heads will still be at the Gate House but there will be no guests allowed to enter the gate house do to Covid-19 issues. SALEM, Ore. — Link to Web Site The Oregon Air National Guard is scheduled to fly multiple F-15 Eagle flyovers over hospitals and other locations throughout Oregon during the month of May in order to salute Oregonians on the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic and lift morale during a time of severe health and economic impacts. Kayak and Canoe Group Surf Pines
Hey Surf Pines Peeps. The Shady Pines Irregulars have started a socially safe Kayak and Canoe Group. Last Monday The Limbird’s, Seppa’s, Rogie’s and Smiths had the first run on Monday May 4. We ran down to the bridge from the South end of Neacoxie lake to the bridge. We picked up Bonnie and Mel near their place and went to the bridge. It was a fun couple of hours and we got lots of chasing done and some exercise to boot. (see Kay’s Pictures) We all agreed this is a hoot and want to do this again. We have lost another old time resident.
Julie Seppa just sent this out My mother in law, Carol Seppa passed away on Tuesday. May she Rest In Peace. So many of our friends and neighbors knew her well. She will be remembered and missed by many. Carol was a descendant of the first female settler to move into Astoria. She married Hugh Seppa. The Seppa family are also old time residents of Clatsop County. Two of her sons and their wives also live in SP. Brent and Julie Seppa and Scott and Heather Seppa. We pass on our condolences, thoughts and prayers for the entire family.
