Subject: August 9, 2022 Planning Commission Agenda
Good evening, everyone.
The agenda package for the August 9, 2022, Planning Commission meeting has been published and is available on the County’s website. For those who have requested paper copies, Clancie will be preparing those tomorrow and they should be available in the afternoon for you to pick up (or to be mailed).
While this may appear to be a very large and overwhelming agenda, much of the material has already been reviewed several times by either the citizen advisory committees or the Planning Commission. Staff will be requesting one motion on the entire package of materials. The materials include revisions recommended by the Planning Commission during your last review (dates noted in the summary memo). The materials also include revisions made at the advice of land use counsel. Those changes will be apparent in the community plans, where staff was advised to transfer policies from the community plans that were applicable countywide to the appropriate goal in the comprehensive plan. Counsel’s memo on the community plans, along with strikethrough/underline versions of the changes can be found here.
Following the Planning Commission meeting, we are anticipating two public hearings before the Board on September 14 and 18.
As always, feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
