Covid-19 Update
The State of Oregon’s “Two Week COVID Freeze” is ending on Wednesday and new guidelines with limited openings will begin on Thursday, December 3rd. The new guidelines will be affected by the rate of COVID cases in each county. Unfortunately, because of increased cases, Clatsop County is considered “High Risk” which is the second highest designation next to “Extreme Risk”.
The new guidelines for “High Risk” counties will include re-opening of restaurants and bars at a 25% capacity, retail and grocery stores at a 50% capacity, indoor gatherings of 6 maximum and outdoor gathers of 8 maximum.
If Clatsop County can decrease cases and get down to “Moderate Risk” by continuing to follow these guidelines, wearing masks, and social distancing, we will be able to re-open businesses at a higher capacity. With a vaccine hopefully on its way soon, we must all do our part to stop the spread. Here is the latest information available at:
