Volunteer Activity – Scotch Broom Clearing – 10/24/20, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

The Roads & Grounds Committee is organizing a scotch broom cleanup on the Manion property. The entire activity will be outdoors and provide the ability to stay socially distanced. There will be pizza and refreshments provided.

EVENT DETAILS
WHEN: Rain or shine, Saturday, 10/24/20 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

WHAT ARE WE DOING: Cutting down Scotch Broom and chipping it onsite. You can volunteer to cut it down, carry it to the chipper or help operate the chipper. Chippings are available to Owners if desired.

WHERE: Meet at 9:00 AM outside the South Gate meeting house for a safety meeting and instructions. Then travel individually to the Manion property. You may park your vehicle on the Manion property if you choose.

WHAT TO WEAR / BRING:
– Yourself and your neighbors. 🙂
– Dress for the weather, and for safety, when cutting and moving scotch broom.
– Long pants and long sleeves are recommended.
– Bring gloves and eye protection.
– Bring ear protection if you wish to assist with the chipper or other equipment.
– Bring your own cutting equipment if you choose
– Bring a water bottle or other for hydration
