Sometime before 3:30 PM today the North Entrance gate arm was knocked off with enough force to sever the wiring for the LED lighting. We will review the camera footage to find out what happened and seek compensation for repairs. We will attempt to reinstall the arm without the LED lighting until Metro Access can come out and repair the lighting.

South Gate will be open until repairs are completed.

This morning I saw a post on the Surf Pines Facebook Group about the North exit gate not functioning. Within 10 minutes I was at the gate investigating the issue. The gate does not appear to have any damage at all, however, Ken and I were not able to correct the problem ourselves. From speaking with Metro Access over the phone, there may be a problem with the electrical loop that opens the North exit gate. Metro Access will be here tomorrow to identify and fix the issue.
