On Tuesday early evening I received a call from a resident on Ocean, that a man and woman have been looking through all windows and checking doors as well as their upstairs windows. I informed resident to call Clatsop sheriffs office ASAP. (Note: this is what was published on Facebook and Next-door with pictures by the resident. Editor) I went and patrolled residents home and nearest trail ( #3) and was unable to see any activity . I did several patrols Tuesday evening stopping at around 1:30 am with no activity spotted. Hi all,We are keeping entertained by taking drives on some of the more rural roads around Cochrane and area. We are using a Southern Alberta Road Atlas which has individual pages of detailed roads — including all the township and range roads. It is fun to drive to see the ranches, clusters of homes in places, and the occasional photo opportunities. This past Sunday, we joined our daughter-in-law Megan and our 3 grand kids for a walk in the historic Cochrane Ranch (just beyond walking distance from our condo). Number of Homes in Surf Pines
At the Safety and Security meeting on May 12, 2021 there was a question on the number of homes in Surf Pines (SP) over the years. Well with our new Sales Force database we were able to generate the number of homes that existed in Surf Pines on specific years based on the year built listed in the Clatsop County Property Tax Map. The results were very interesting. As of this year we have 353 homes in SP. 10 of these are still under construction. In 2020 there were 9 homes completed, in 2019 there were 9 new homes completed, and in 2018 there were 8 new homes completed. That means in…

This came from one of our neighbors… Last week as I drove up our Surf Pines Lane admiring the cherry daffodils at the sides of the street, I suddenly saw a woman cross the street with a huge bundle of daffodils in her hands and she was still picking our flowers. There was no car or bicycle at the side of the road, so she must have been on foot. What kind of despicable people live out here? She had a huge bundle flowers in her hands and she was still picking! Volunteer Activity – Sand Spur Removal at the Park – 4/24/20, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
To celebrate Spring we are organizing a volunteer project to remove sand spurs at the park. This will be a manual effort using the garden weasel/garden claw tool. We have 2 or 3 tools available to lend. However, if you have your own please bring it with you. We will spread the volunteers out and the bigger the team the faster we will finish. Please come out and join us, it is a fantastic opportunity to meet your neighbors and contribute your most important tool, your time!
