CRC Meeting Minutes January 9 2020

New Resident Meet and Greets –
Between November and January Katie and Bonnie facilitated 6 meet & greets for our new residents.
Community Activities Discussion –
- Gardening Workshop
- Wine Tasting
- Annual Garage Sale
- Community Picnic
Katie will pursue a location and date for an early Spring (mid to late March) Gardening Workshop. Once date and location are decided, we will solicit a Master Gardener Guest Speaker to provide valuable gardening information and answer questions from Surf Pines residents.
Bonnie will pursue a location and date for a wine tasting event for possibly early June. (More to come).
The Annual Garage Sale and Community Picnic dates were discussed, and it was decided that the Garage sale would take place on July 4, and the Community Picnic will be July 5.
As always, any volunteer help would be greatly appreciated.
Surf Pines Blog – Database – Website –
Tom Smith demonstrated the new Surf Pines Blog and discussed how this tool will greatly enhance communications to the community.
Currently Surf Pines captures and houses member data is several disparate databases. The goal of the new database is capture information in one database which will streamline data input and ensure member information is current and accurate to better communicate to all Surf Pines resident’s pertinent community information.
Miscellaneous –
The CRC is a small committee of volunteers that coordinate several social activities throughout the year.
The goal of the CRC is to coordinate and execute community related social activities to bring residents together to get better acquainted with our Surf Pines neighbors. We are always looking for new ideas, as well as volunteers to serve on the committee and/or set up and clean up events.
