No Official Surf Pines Garage Sale this year but some want to do one this Saturday.
Do to the Covid-19 your Community Relation Committee have canceled this years annual garage sale as a CRC Surf Pines sponsored event. However Kathy Schroeder 89018 Manion DR plans on doing her own event and is advertising for a Garage sale this Saturday July 25 from 8 till 2. She thought that since the gates will be open anyway that others might want to join in to help bring in more people. If you are interested please call Kathy at 503-312-3457 to see if you can do a joint sale on your own. North Gate Problems
This morning I saw a post on the Surf Pines Facebook Group about the North exit gate not functioning. Within 10 minutes I was at the gate investigating the issue. The gate does not appear to have any damage at all, however, Ken and I were not able to correct the problem ourselves. From speaking with Metro Access over the phone, there may be a problem with the electrical loop that opens the North exit gate. Metro Access will be here tomorrow to identify and fix the issue. Until then, both the entry and exit gates will remain open as per our normal repair procedure. The good news is that gates are…

A 2nd member has self-reported that they have tested positive for Covid-19
Since many of us are members of AGCC, I felt that this would be of interest to SPA and surrounding neighbors. T Astoria Golf and Country Club AGCC Members: A 2nd member has self-reported that they have tested positive for Covid-19.They are asymptomatic and self-quarantining. This member was last in the Club on Wednesday July 1st. The positive test result was on Thursday July 2nd. Hello Surf Pines — Progress in hazard mitigation planning marches forward. The citizen input portion of our plan update is in full swing and we want to hear from you. We NEED to hear from you! From Clatsop County Emergency Management: Clatsop Community Survey 2020-25 Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan As part of the review and update process, input is needed from the citizens who live and/or work in Clatsop County. Clatsop County Emergency Management has created an online survey to allow for the citizen input. Hello fellow Surf Pines Owners, The Roads & Grounds Committee has been quite busy, and I wanted to take a moment to quickly share some updates. If you have any questions, concerns, or comments, please contact Scott Roose, Roads & Grounds Chairperson, 503-741-1585. Signage Changes The SPA Board and Roads & Grounds Committee have been reviewing the signage at the gates and decided to make the following changes. Two new signs have been added at each entrance gates to notify drivers “One Vehicle At A Time” and that the gates are “Under Surveillance”.
