VEHICLE BEACH ACCESS TEMPORARILY CLOSED APRIL 11-12 WEEKEND
Clatsop County will temporarily close vehicle access to north-county beaches over the April 11-12 weekend. Gates at the county-owned beach entrances at Sunset Beach and Del Rey Beach will be closed Friday evening, April 10 and reopened Monday morning, April 13.

The order, approved by the Board of Commissioners at a special meeting March 22, ordered the closure of hotels, short-term rentals and homestay lodges, and campgrounds for a 14-day period beginning March 23. Got this from a couple of long term SP members and good to know. Do Daffodils Make You Smile? Many years ago Norma Keever and her family and SP friends planted hundreds of Daffodils along both sides of Surf Pines Lane from the highway to the Meeting House. They did this for the ENJOYMENT and beautification of our neighborhood. Let’s NOT pick them but leave them for all of us to enjoy. Thank you! Surf Pines was originally a Daffodils farm started by Barney Lucas. They planted thousands of flowers along with Scotch Broom and Coastal Pines. Clarification on which Gate codes will be canceled.
There has been some confusion about John Yerke's e-mail yesterday. The regular Visitor Gate Codes for March and April are still in effect. They remain active from 7 am till 7 pm every day. They will not be shut down.

Surf Pines Association falls under the jurisdiction of Clatsop County and we need to comply.
