I’ll be sharing my video ‘Fortress Astoria’ (Produced in 2020) to my first public audience. ‘Fortress Astoria’ is the story of ships and planes, hopes and dreams, and how a little fishing and logging village played a pivotal role in helping America win WWII. This is a fascinating story with many long-forgotten struggles and well-deserved victories. I’ll also introduce my latest novel, ‘Firewatcher’, which tells the story of Ruth Nelson, a young woman in the early 1940s, whose desire to join the war effort compels her to lie about her age so she can join the Firewatchers in the Tillamook Forest. This new book reveals the many secrets, strategies & pineapples of WWII. Please join me for this presentation. This event is open to the public and free to attend. We hope to see you there!
